I played rock music in bands and folk music in coffeehouses in the early 1970’s. The responsibilities of being a husband, father and school teacher took me away from that. We always had a lot of music in our home and I played some guitar in church. I got Andrew started on the guitar when he was in his early teens. By the time he was twenty or so, he was a better player than I and he was off making music in the different cities where he lived. When Andrew moved back to the area, it seemed only natural that we should play together. It has been a surprise to get this music back into my life in my fifties and a great joy to be able to play it with my son.

About Andy
I started playing music in the second grade when I picked up piano lessons. These lessons continued for about eight years, and transformed me into a musician for life. Piano provided me with music knowledge and understanding that I still apply today. My father started me on guitar in about eighth grade and I quickly fell in love. A couple colleges, a couple towns, and about twelve years later, I’m back to playing music with Dad. After years of playing solo in smoky bars and clubs, it is refreshing to be touring the coffeehouses of Western New York with my father. It also represents a new era of growth for me as a musician, learning to interpret the old blues and country music that we play.
